Ponte do Porco, the corner of Miño with a bewitching landscape
A panoramic view linked to the state of the tide
A place with small low houses integrated into its surroundings, which fascinates with its beautiful scenery.
One of the most curious things about this small estuary is how the environment changes depending on the tide.
At high tide, the water floods the basin, leaving the traditional boats afloat, giving it the appearance of a small, almost idyllic natural harbour.
The tonality of its light and the reflection in the water of the clouds and the surrounding vegetation inspire the best of pictures.
The presence of the river, its bridge, the sea, the boats, the little houses at the river's edge, the clear sand, the vegetation... add up to a combination of elements that are fixed through all our senses, making us enjoy every moment intensely.
At low tide, the river bed lengthens its course in search of the sea. The beach widens its horizons on both banks. Beach lovers will have to walk a little further to reach a deeper area for bathing. The barged boats heel their bellies in the sand, as if they were allowing themselves to be lulled into a pleasant siesta.
The shades of colour change, acquiring different tones and lights depending on the depth of the water.
A natural food bank for waders
These areas of the intertidal space are favoured by waders, which sweep them in search of small invertebrates or molluscs to feed on. This is the case of sandpipers, curlews and oystercatchers, among many others that visit these sandbanks.
